• A large part of my life is devoted to reading and answering email

• I use the 'MH' mail system

• Idea:

• Each mail folder is a directory

• Each mail message is a file

• Many small shell commands that can be hooked together

• For example

        folder +perl/tpc/y2004
        scan first:50
        show 37
        refile +perl/tpc/TODO
