Each ledger represents a customer or an account
It has contact information, a transaction record, invoice history, etc.
Attached to each ledger are some consumers
Each represents service we have promised to deliver
It has methods for:
Charging for service
Calculating how long it expects to live and when it expects to run out
Constructing and giving control to its replacement
