qmail-queue is for use by programs, not by humans
It has a simple, inflexible, unambiguous interface
It reads the message from file descriptor 0, the envelope from descriptor 1
Yep, it reads the envelope information from standard output
Since it's hard to use, other interfaces are provided
qmail-inject is a somewhat more convenient interface to qmail-queue
sendmail is a sendmail-compatible interface
qmail-smtpd is a network daemon that receives messages from remote machines
It's not hard to write others
