Mail is not normally delivered to the address in the To field
Consider:
Mailing list mail: To: plug@lists.phillylinux.org
Bcc mail: To: someone_else@yoursite.com
Forwarded mail: To: your_forwarding_address@pobox.com
Spam mail: To: "galen ziegel" <stormward7@plover.com>
Email has an envelope, just like paper mail
The envelope has the recipient address
Also a sender address what is used in case of bounces
These may have nothing to do with the From: or To: lines in the message
Those are like the address printed on the letter that is in the envelope
