Instead:
When you fix (or find) a bug, add a test for it
Now you know that bug will never come back
When you add a feature, add a test for just that feature
It won't take long
Do this and you will soon have 1,000 tests
You will surprise yourself at how quickly they pile up
You will also surprise your boss
But if they don't pile up, don't stress about it
Soon you will see how much benefit you get from just a few tests
Then you will want to write lots more
