When optimizing a program, it's vitally important that you not break it
Unless you live on the planet where it's important to get the wrong answer as quickly as possible
So here's what I did:
% perl mfa1.pl MBOX > out1
% perl mfa2.pl MBOX > out2
% diff -u out?
We hope that the outputs will be identical
If not, we have to worry
