Unnecessary Shell Calls

However, I think a lot of folks take this point much too far
Some useful uses of shell calls include:
- `ps`
- system("sort -o output input");
  - (When input is very large, sort uses an external multipass merge algorithm)
- One of my favorites: $page = `lynx -dump $URL`
